Don't know what style of lashes to get? Don't worry, we got you!
Determine the shape of your eyes by answering the next 4 simple questions.
Note: this is just a reference for beginners and it does not mean that other lash styles won't fit you!
Question 1: Do you have a crease?
If the answer is yes, move on to question 2.
If you answered no, then your search ends here - you have Monolid shaped eyes!
People with monolid eyes, share a common trait. Their eyelashes can be very straight, short, and stubborn. So when it comes to picking the best lashes for single lidded eyes, we recommend focusing on three aspects:
Length - Create an illusion with elongated lashes that lengthen out towards the outer edge of the eye.
Curl - Volume of lashes to make a full flutter.
Shape - For an eye-opening effect and to make those eyes really pop, choose a pair of lashes that are ‘fanned’ out.
The lashes we recommend for Monolid eyes are the following:
Question 2: If you placed a straight line across the center of your eyes, would the outer corners by your temples be above or below the line, or right on it?
If you answered above the line, then you have Upturned Eyes.
If your answer is below the line, you have Downturned Eyes.
If your outer eye corners are right on the imaginary line, i.e. if your eyes are neither upturned nor downturned, then answer the next question to continue.
For Upturned eyes, lashes that gradually increase in length towards the outer edges, in a classic winged shape, will best emphasize this upward flick.
For Downturned Eyes, false eyelashes that are too dense and heavy will only highlight the downturn, so for a more modern look, stick with lashes that are wispy and natural-looking.
Rina Lashes recommend She's Shy style as it is wispy and natural-looking at the same time!
Question 3: When your eyes are open, is your eyelid crease visible?
If it is not visible, then your eye shape is Hooded.
For Hooded Eyes, emphasize your natural eye shape with faux lashes that taper at the ends and have long lashes in the center.
If your eyelid crease is visible, there’s one final question left to discover which eye shape you have.
Question 4: When you look straight ahead at the mirror, can you see the whites of your eyes below the iris (the colored part)?
If you answered yes, then you have Rounded Eyes!
For Round Eyes, look for wispy and winged eyelashes that draw out the length of your lash line perfectly, creating a gorgeous cat-eye shape that will open your eyes out even more.
Lucky you! All of our lash styles would perfectly fit your eye shape, as every single one of them is either wispy, winged, or both!
If you answered no, then you have Almond-shaped Eyes.
Almond eyes are the most universal shape and are blessed with versatility – a wide variety of false eyelashes will work for you. Just about any lash style will look great on you, however, you may want to take full advantage of your ability to create the perfect cat-eye.
